Embroidered patch hats are the closest to “regular” embroidered hats. If you have had your logo embroidered before and you don't want to stray far from that, this is the recommended option.
With embroidered patches, you can use either a twill or fully embroidered background. The black background pictured above is twill. You can typically capture more details on a patch than you can with regular embroidery, but some smaller, more intricate details may not show well on this option.
